Whether you're a loose-diamond dealer, a custom jeweler, or an established retailer, CaratX gives you the tools to reach serious buyers and grow your business online. This guide walks you through everything you need to do to go from zero to your first sale. --- ## 1. What CaratX Offers Sellers CaratX is a specialized marketplace for jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones. As a seller, you get: - **Your own storefront** — a dedicated shop page with your branding and full item catalog - **Listing management** — create, edit, and organize your inventory - **Order management** — receive, confirm, and fulfill orders from buyers - **Shipping tools** — configure your own shipping options and rates - **Custom order requests** — accept buyer inquiries for bespoke pieces - **Earnings dashboard** — track payments and download remittance invoices - **Seller analytics** — understand how your items are performing (available on higher tiers) --- ## 2. How to Apply Becoming a seller on CaratX is an application-based process. Here's exactly what to do: ### Step 1 — Create a free account You need a CaratX customer account before you can apply to sell. 1. Go to [caratx.com](https://caratx.com) and click **Create Account** 2. Fill in your name, email, and password 3. Verify your email address This takes less than a minute and is completely free. ### Step 2 — Submit your seller application Once logged in: 1. Navigate to **Sell with CaratX** from the main menu (or visit `/sell-with-us`) 2. Choose the seller plan that fits your business (see Section 4 below) 3. Click **Apply Now** on your chosen plan 4. Fill out the application form with your business details: - **Storefront Name** — your public shop name on CaratX - **Legal Business Name** — your registered business name - **Business Type** — Sole Proprietor, LLC, Corporation, etc. - **Country** — where your business is based - **Years in Business** - **Product Categories** — describe what you sell (e.g., Diamonds, Gold Jewelry, Engagement Rings) - **Expected Monthly Sales Volume** — your best estimate is fine - **Website** *(optional)* — your existing website if you have one - **Tax ID / VAT Number** *(optional)* 5. Add any additional information about your business, certifications, or special requirements 6. Click **Submit Application** ### Step 3 — Wait for review After you submit: - Our team will review your application **within 24–48 hours** - You may be contacted for additional information - You will receive an **email notification** once your application is approved or if more information is needed - You can track your application status under **Support Tickets** in your account dashboard --- ## 3. Account Verification (KYC) After your seller application is approved, your account will go through a verification process. This is a standard Know Your Customer (KYC) check to confirm your business identity and protect buyers and sellers on the platform. ### What happens during verification Our team reviews your submitted information and may request supporting documents such as: - Government-issued ID or business registration documents - Proof of business address - Tax identification documents (if applicable) ### Verification statuses | Status | What it means | |--------|--------------| | **Pending** | Your application is under review — no action needed | | **Approved** | You are verified and can sell on CaratX | | **Rejected** | Your application was not approved — you will receive feedback and can reapply | | **Revoked** | Verification was removed — contact support for details | ### How long does it take? Verification typically completes within the same 24–48 hour window as your application review. Once approved, your seller account is active and you can start listing items immediately. ### Trusted Seller status Sellers who build a strong track record on CaratX — consistent sales, high ratings, and few disputes — are eligible for **Trusted Seller** promotion. This happens automatically based on your performance and gives you increased visibility on the platform. --- ## 4. Choosing Your Seller Tier CaratX offers four seller plans. Your initial choice is part of your application, but you can discuss upgrading with the CaratX team at any time. ### Free — Loose Diamonds **Cost:** Free Best for: Diamond dealers focused on loose stone sales. - List loose diamonds in the CaratX marketplace - Standard transaction fees apply - Basic storefront - Standard support ### Basic — Jewelry Seller **Cost:** $795/year Best for: Individual jewelers and small retailers getting started. - Active jewelry listings - Basic storefront customization - Basic analytics - Standard support ### Professional — Go-To-Market **Cost:** $1,900/month Best for: Established retailers and brands ready to scale. - Higher listing limits - Featured items - Enhanced storefront customization - Advanced analytics - Priority email support - Bulk upload tools - Promotional tools - Priority search placement ### Enterprise — Custom Pricing **Cost:** Contact us Best for: Large-scale operations, B2B dealers, and brands with specific requirements. - Unlimited listings - Fully custom storefront - Custom reports and analytics - API access - Dedicated account manager - SLA guarantee - Custom integrations - White label options > **Not sure which plan is right for you?** Start with the plan that fits your current volume. First-Time Setup Checklist Once your account is approved, complete these steps before your first sale. Work through them in order — each one builds on the last. ### Set up your storefront Your storefront is your public-facing shop page on CaratX. Buyers will land here when browsing your items. - [ ] **Add a storefront banner and logo** — go to your seller dashboard and look for storefront settings - [ ] **Write your shop description** — tell buyers who you are, what you specialize in, and why they should buy from you - [ ] **Check your storefront URL** — it will be something like `caratx.com/shop/your-store-name` ### Configure your shipping options You must set up at least one shipping option before buyers can check out. - [ ] Go to **Seller Dashboard → Shipping** - [ ] Click **Add Shipping Option** - [ ] Set your shipping rates for domestic and/or international delivery - [ ] Save your options > Buyers will see your shipping options at checkout. You can add multiple options (e.g., Standard, Express). ### Add your first items - [ ] Go to **Seller Dashboard → Items** (or the Items section of your dashboard) - [ ] Click **Add Item** - [ ] Fill in the title, description, price, category, and photos - [ ] Set your item as **Active** when you're ready for it to appear in the marketplace - [ ] Repeat for your full inventory ### Review your payment settings - [ ] Go to **Seller Dashboard → Payments** - [ ] Review how earnings will be remitted to you - [ ] Confirm your payment details are on file with CaratX ### Enable custom orders (optional) If you accept custom or bespoke requests: - [ ] Go to **Seller Dashboard → Custom Orders → Settings** - [ ] Enable custom order requests - [ ] Set your preferences for accepting or declining leads ### Do a final check - [ ] Visit your storefront URL and confirm it looks correct - [ ] Place a test browse of your own shop to see what buyers see - [ ] Make sure your items are visible and your shipping options appear --- ## Need Help?
